AI Assist can look at the images on a post and write the text to fit them. It is the quickest way to turn a photo into a finished post.
Generate a post for an image
- In the composer, add one or more images to the post, from the Media tab or with Upload Media.
- Open the AI Assist tab. The top line shows Sees 1 image (or more), which means the AI will look at them.
- Press Generate post for this image.
- Read the suggestion, then Insert, Regenerate or Discard it.
If the post already has some text, AI Assist treats it as notes on what to say rather than text it has to keep. So you can jot down new on the counter, only 30 a day and let it write the rest around the photo.
What it will and won't do
- It writes around what is plainly visible, including words or prices that appear in the picture.
- It will not guess at things it cannot see, such as who people are, where a photo was taken or what something costs.
- It does not just describe the image back to you. The text should add to the picture, not repeat it.
- It uses the alt text on each image as a hint, so a good description helps. See Alt text written by AI.
AI Assist looks at up to four images per request. With more than that, it looks at the first four.
Images on every request
You don't have to use the button for AI Assist to see your images. Any request on a post with images, such as Make it punchier or your own instruction, sends them too, so the text keeps matching the picture.
What it costs
1 credit per request, the same as any other AI Assist request.
