AI Assist is the writing panel beside the composer. It knows which network you are writing for, sees the images on the post, and writes in your portfolio's brand voice.
Open AI Assist
Open the composer with Create, then either:
- click the sparkles button in the toolbar under a post's text box, which opens AI Assist and puts your cursor in its prompt box, or
- choose the AI Assist tab in the side panel.
The line at the top of the panel says what you are editing, such as Editing: Instagram · Larkspur & Salt. To work on a different network, click into that network's section of the composer and AI Assist follows.
Write a post from scratch
- Leave the post's text box empty.
- In AI Assist, describe the post in a sentence, such as our spiced pear danish is back for autumn, only 30 a day.
- Press Enter. The suggestion streams into its own card as it is written.
If the post already has images, you can press Generate post for this image instead. See Write a post from a photo.
Refine a draft
Once there is text to work on, either your own draft or a suggestion, the prompt box offers one-click edits:
- Fix Spelling / Grammar, Write this better, Make it punchier, Make it shorter
- Rephrase / Mix it up, Expand & Elaborate, Improve structure & spacing
- Rewrite in a positive tone, Rewrite as a thread start, Add emoji, Rewrite as announcement
Start typing to filter the list. If nothing matches, what you typed is sent as your own instruction, such as mention the Saturday bake box or make it a question.
While a suggestion is showing, each new request refines the suggestion rather than your original draft, so you can keep going until it is right.
Keep it, or don't
Under each suggestion:
- Insert puts it into the post, replacing what was there. You can also press Shift + Enter.
- Regenerate asks again for a different version.
- Discard throws it away and leaves your post as it was.
- Stop appears while it is writing, if you can already see it is going the wrong way.
After you insert, a message offers Undo if you change your mind. Suggestions are kept per post and per network, so switching sections or tabs does not lose one.
AI Assist suggests. You decide. Read every suggestion before you schedule it, especially facts, prices and anything a client has to approve.
