Scheduling posts

Why did my post fail?

What "failed" and "partial" mean, how to see the reason, and the most common fixes.

Updated

When a network does not accept a post, Fluxi marks it and keeps the reason the network gave.

  • Failed means the post did not go out to any of its networks.
  • Partial means it went out to some networks but not others.

To see why, find the post in Posts or on the Calendar and hover over its status icon. The reason is listed for each network that failed.

Common reasons and fixes

"Your connection has expired" or "No connected account." The network no longer accepts Fluxi's access, or the account was disconnected. Reconnect it, then reschedule the post. See Fix an account that says "Reconnect needed".

The network rejected the media. Networks have rules beyond what can be checked before posting, such as video length, resolution and file size. Replace the file with one that meets the network's requirements and reschedule.

The network rejected the text. Some networks refuse duplicate posts, or text containing certain links. Edit the text for that network and reschedule.

You hit a limit on the free trial. The trial allows two scheduled posts a day. Fluxi normally stops you when you schedule, but check What the free trial includes.

Try again

Open the post, fix the problem and choose Update Post with a new time. Fluxi only retries the networks that failed. Networks where the post was already published are left alone, so nothing is posted twice.

Posts are never marked failed because a subscription lapsed. They are held in the queue and publish as soon as billing is restored.

If the reason does not make sense, or the same post keeps failing, email support@tryfluxi.com with the post's time and network.
